Minutes of March 13, 2017

MINUTES OF THE MONDAY, MARCH 13, 2017, CITY COUNCIL MEETING

 

 

 

 

The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order at 6:30 P.M., with Mayor Camie Sanders presiding.  Upon roll call, all council members were present except Hasten and Macke. Hasten and  Macke were absent.

 

Raisner made a motion, seconded by LeFever to approve minutes of previous meeting as written.

Upon roll call, all members present voted for. Motion carried.

 

Presentation for the Marshall Schools Grant. North School - $500.00, Jr. High - $500.00 and High School -

$500.00.

 

The Collector’s Report was read.  $996,323.90 was collected in February 2017 and transferred to City funds. Strait made a motion, seconded by LeFever, to approve the Collector’s Report as read.  Upon roll call, all council members present voted for.  Motion carried.

 

The Treasurer’s Report was read.  There was a balance in city funds of $8,291,952.98 on February 28, 2017.  Strait made a motion, seconded by McKittrick, to approve the Treasurer’s Report as read.  Upon roll call, all council members present voted for.  Motion carried.

 

The Investment Transaction Report was read.  There were no investment transactions to report for February 2017.  LeFever made a motion, seconded by McKittrick, to approve the Investment Transaction Report as read.  Upon roll call, all council members present voted for.  Motion carried.

 

The Police Report was read.  $1,811.88 was collected in fines for the month of January 2017 and $4,289.61 was collected in fines for the month of February 2017. Raisner made a motion, seconded by Strait, to approve the Police Report as read.  Upon roll call, all council members present voted for.  Motion carried.

 

The Building Permit Report was read.  There were three permits issued and $75.00 collected in fees during the month of February 2017.   Raisner made a motion, seconded by Wallace , to approve the Building Permit Report as read.  Upon roll call, all council members present voted for.

The Design/Construction Engineering agreement with Francis Associates for the 2017 Storm Sewer Separation Project was tabled.

Raisner made a motion, seconded by Wallace to pay bills as presented in the amount of $724,045.00. Upon roll call, all council members present voted for. Motion carried.

 

LeFever made a motion, seconded by McKittrick to adjourn. Upon roll call, all council members present

voted for. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:58 P.M.
